Purpose Statement
"We are here to glorify Christ who is the Head of the Church by exercising our various ministries. We aim to make our community aware of the Good News of the Gospel, to attract as many people as possible into the activities of the Church and to bring them to Christ."
Since agreeing on our mission statement we have being looking at our purpose in life. The "purpose statement" was born from discussions at Deacons Meetings and was put forward to the Church at our last Church meeting. We now know what our mission is and our purpose on this earth as God's people, we now have the hard task to do, the Vision Statement.
This is to look at how we can work as a team to fulfil our mission and work towards our purpose. As a church we need to decide on work in the community to fulfil our ambitions set out in our Church Profile.
We would like to expand the membership and congregation. We currently have 51 members of which 44 are actively involved in church life.
We need to encourage new members into the church and the youth organisations.
The Church would like the Brigades to be more effective in bringing children and their parents into the church.
We need to bring younger adults into some of the organisations to help the Leaders who feel they should be handing over the ropes in the next few years.
We have tended to be a pastoral church and we would hope to continue this type of mission in the future.
To continue to encourage and expand the house groups and prayer meetings and to broaden the scope of the church.
